EXTRA GENTLE
Take it easy in this slow paced class for anyone. Postures are introduced slowly and carefully. No experience or flexibility required. Excellent for raw beginners with minimal activity levels, those working with special needs or if you prefer a more restorative style of yoga.

GENTLE FLOW

A relaxing, smooth flow for all bodies and all levels that will s-t-r-e-t-c-h your body and relax your mind. An all around great class for beginners thru advanced.

FLOW YOGA LEVEL 1-2

A well-rounded yoga class accessible to most levels. Moderately paced, this class is great for beginners with an active lifestyle or those with some basic yoga experience.

FLOW YOGA LEVEL 2-3

A dynamic and moderately challenging flow designed for those who want to deepen their practice by exploring increased intensity levels and some more advanced postures. Suited for those with yoga experience and free of serious injuries.

VINYASA FLOW

Vigorous, flowing class connecting the breath to yoga postures. This is a fast-paced, challenging class and yoga experience is required. Please bring a towel and be ready to sweat!

HOT YOGA
A FLOW YOGA LEVEL 2-3 class in a heated studio.

SUN SAL SUNDAY

End your weekend right with an hour of flow. Enjoy the consistency & explore the variety of sun salutations with various teachers. Look forward to an extra long final relaxation & float into a blissful Sunday evening. All levels welcome.

Fast becoming one of the most popular forms of yoga practiced in the Western world, vinyasa yoga in a heated room allows you to delve deeply into your body – rinsing, cleansing and oxygenating while building strength, flexibility and balance. This is a vigorous vinyasa flow class open to active beginners or those with previous yoga experience. Led by Kristina, enjoy this powerful, yet peaceful opening to your Sunday.

NEW TO YOGA?
Sign up for our 3 part mini series and learn everything you need to know to feel comfortable in a class setting. We’ll cover a little of everything (history, philosophy, styles of yoga, prop usage, breathing techniques and of course, lots of poses.) At the end of the third session, you’ll have learned a sequence of poses (sun salutation) you can practice at home. The 3 sessions will introduce you to a variety of our great teachers and you’ll enjoy practicing with other beginners. Great for raw beginners or those seeking a re-fresher course.

This workshop is based on the research and practice of Amy Weintraub, RYT500 and author of Yoga for Depression.  Join us for a morning to explore yogic strategies to battle depression, anxiety and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), find more compassion for yourself, energize your body and give you resources to create your own unique practice.

Taught by Julie Kaus, who completed her Anusara yoga training in 2003 and has been a psychotherapist for over 15 years.  Julie is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and is a Licensed Certified Clinical Social Worker.

Intro to Pranayama
We talk about breathing often in yoga classes, but are you really getting the most out of your breath? Yin Yoga

Like a calming, slow, meditative practice? (YIN)
If you answered yes to EITHER one of those questions, this special class is for you. If you tend to be drawn to YANG activities, chances are you need to balance your body (and your life) with a little more YIN. If you already enjoy a more YIN practice or life, then join us to delve deeper into this specific style of yoga.  This practice is slow in nature and open to all.  A great compliment to the 9:15am class, join us for both classes for a well balanced weekend.

BREAK IT DOWN
Want to learn more about the mechanics of asana? Do you wonder if you are doing it 'right,' what it is 'supposed' to really look like and how to make adjustments? This series will dissect a few poses, or a certain topic each session to help you find proper alignment & better understanding of the asana. Enjoy individual attention, adjustments and handouts.  Some of the topics will include: Core Movement, Twisting to New Depths; Geometry- Perfect Triangles, Balancing it All, Going Upside Down with Confidence etc. The series is ongoing and will continue throughout the year. Sign up for any session as they are not consecutive. No experience required.

Balancing Your Energy
You’ve heard the term ‘energy work,’ but do you know what it means? Join special guest teacher, Alexandra Windsong from The Healing Way for a quick introductory guide to understanding the function and importance of your aura, and how this energy field is impacted by, and is a reflection of, your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state. Learn about tools such as Reiki and flower essences, to help you balance your energy, and your energy field. Be one of the lucky participants picked to have YOUR aura read. 


YOGA PHILOSOPHY 101 (the non-credit, no stress, fun course) You might not know it, but there is A LOT more to yoga than just asana (physical postures). In fact, it’s a system of health and wellness that’s been around for over 7,000 years.  If you're interested in taking your Yoga practice to a new level, or just a curious beginner, come to this introduction to basic yogic philosophy.  Learn about the 8 limbs of yoga including Pranayama (breathwork), Yamas (social restraints/ethics) and of course, asana (posture).


Rasa Vinyasa
Rasa is said to be the ‘juice’ of life. Without it, we become dry, stuck in routine & then rigid. Join Dorcas for a ‘juicy’ 2 hour Vinyasa practice to get your system warmed up & your practice amped up for the new year. Must have at least 6 months yoga experience & be physically active. Be prepared for a workout!


Women’s Self Defense
Every woman has similar fears of being attacked while alone. Survey your surroundings, avoid dangerous situations & learn techniques to protect yourself from an attacker. This special 2 hour session will give you confidence & practical real life skills. Be prepared & feel safe.

Taught by Guest Teacher Luke Rinehart, owner of Clinch Academy & Sol Yoga studio owner Dorcas Quynn McWilliams. Together, they have over 35 years of combined martial arts experience. Luke is a champion fighter, black belt in mixed martial arts, owner of Clinch Academy in Frederick and has trained hundreds of students (children-adult) in his lifetime of dedication to martial arts. He teaches self defense classes, Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts & infuses yoga & fitness into his practice & classes. Talented & gifted as a practitioner & teacher, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to train with Luke. As a former 2nd degree black belt in Tang So Do, and receiving a brown belt rank at the Clinch Academy, Dorcas spent over 15 years studying martial arts before discovering yoga.
